The iTunes Music Store provides numerous ways for you to spread the word about great music to download (and, naturally, to obtain more customers for itself). One of these methods involves sending an "electronic postcard" about a particular album you'd like one or more friends to know aboutperhaps as a hint for a gift idea, perhaps because you think your friend might like the music. It's all up to you.
Browse the iTunes Music Store
Choose Music Store from the Source pane in the iTunes window; browse the contents of the iTunes Music Store, as described in Browse the iTunes Music Store. For this task, you don't even need to be signed in.
Tell a Friend About an Album
Navigate to the download page for an album or video collection. In the information block at the top of the screen, next to the album art, is a link labeled Tell a friend. Click this link to be taken to the setup page for the electronic card.
Fill In Email Information
You can send the card to a single recipient or multiple recipients. Separate multiple addresses with commas as you enter them in the To Email field.
Fill in your own name and email address (so that the recipient can contact you in return). Additionally, fill in a personal message letting the recipient know why you're sending this card. Make sure that the person knows this isn't just another piece of spam in his incoming mail!
Send the Electronic Card
Click the Send button to deliver the electronic card to the email recipient.
