Adobe Bridge

Bridge is such a natural extension of Photoshop that I cover many of its Photoshop integration opportunities in Bridge's own chapter (Chapter 6). In general, think of Bridge as the place to go when you want to do the same thing to more than one Photoshop file. Here are a few more integration tips that haven't been mentioned yet:

  • To make sure all Creative Suite programs use the same color settings, synchronize them. Choose Edit > Creative Suite Color Settings, select the color settings that most closely match your primary workflow, and click Apply.

  • To send files from Bridge to other Creative Suite programs, select files in Bridge, choose File > Place, and select a program from the Place submenu. If a program is dimmed, that usually means you must have a document open in the destination program to receive the file.

  • You'll find most Photoshop integration opportunities in the Tools menu, in the Photoshop Services and Photoshop submenus.
