Summary

Now that you have created your first form, you should have a better feel for how the InfoPath designer works and you should be ready to start gathering requirements from users and building your own simple forms. While the techniques covered in this chapter provide the basis for the rest of the tasks you’ll be learning throughout the book, the example you walked through was very simple, resulting in a single XML file that contained the data that was entered. While this will be a popular way to use InfoPath, one of the product’s strengths is the ability to push data into a database or other data source. That’s what you will look at in the next chapter.
