There are three simple ways to make a call using Skype:
Select a Skype Name in your Contacts List and then click the big green Call button in the bottom-left portion of the Skype main window (see Figure 4-15).

Right-click a Skype Name in your Contacts List, and choose Start Call from the context menu (see Figure 4-16). (Mac users: Control-click the Skype Name, and choose Call from the context menu.)

Double-click the Skype Name in your Contacts List or search results (if you have set your Skype preferences to initiate a call versus an IM).
Note
You can also make a call to someone using a cell phone or a traditional phone. To do this, you need to buy SkypeOut credits. See Chapter 5 for more information.
