Color and tone correction and adjustment are huge subjects worthy of thousands of pages and years of study. Obviously, this chapter doesn't cover all of the details and fine points of good color correction. However, these pointers should help you deal with the day-to-day, basic corrections that you will perform on most of your images. In addition, the concepts introduced here are essential for understanding the raw discussion in the next chapter.
