INTRODUCTION

Suppose you are working on a document and need to search for data pertaining to what you are writing about. Instead of opening your Web browser, you can simply use the Web toolbar in your Office application. You can use the Web toolbar in Office applications to open documents on the Internet; browse Web documents; jump to other documents, objects, or pages using hyperlinks; or even share your documents on the Web. If you have ever used a Web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator), this toolbar should look familiar. Keep in mind that you need to be connected to the Internet for this task; otherwise, Office will try to connect you after you use the Web toolbar buttons.

TIP

Searching the Web

Some of the best Web sites to search for information are www.yahoo.com, www.google.com, and www.excite.com.
