Take an employee to your next client meeting.
When meeting with a client, invite an employee who has worked on the account to join the tour and help answer questions about your company and services. Invite her to join you and the customer for lunch.
This approach to recognition has several advantages: (1) It gives the client a human face, (2) your customer will appreciate getting to know the people behind the scenes, and (3) your employee may feel a renewed commitment to the client.
One important note: make sure the person has a meaningful role in the meeting. The reward is in the confidence that you show in her.
