Respondents were also asked if their organizations had a privacy policy to protect the personal data of customers in place. Remarkably, 81 percent reported that there was a plan in place, while 7 percent reported that a privacy plan was being developed. Another 7 percent reported there was not a privacy plan in place, and 5 percent did not know the status of the plan. Table 2.8 shows the reported status of customer data privacy plan training.

While 72 percent reported that there was a privacy policy to protect personal data of employees in place, 14 percent reported that there was not a policy in place. Meanwhile, 7 percent reported that a policy was being developed, and 7 percent reported that they were uncertain as to the status of the policy.
