Uninstalling the Cluster and SQL Server

Uninstalling SQL Server in a cluster is slightly different than a normal uninstall process. Uninstall the cluster by using the following steps:

1. Uninstall all instances of SQL Server using the CD or the Setup program. The old method of uninstalling SQL Server through Add/Remove Programs will not be available when you're in a cluster.

2. Uninstall clustering by unselecting Clustering Services in Add/Remove Programs | Add/Remove Windows Components.

3. Remove any leftover directories from SQL Server.
