Where to Go from Here

Yep, this is it. I'm done writing the book and you're done reading it. Yeah...I know. You may be one of those people that read through everything in sequence, but I'm guessing you didn't. You probably just skipped right ahead to this part, didn't you? That's okay, it'll be our secret. Anyway, here's a list of resources that I've found very useful to help get things done faster. I hope you enjoy.

Folders on Your Own Computer

If you liked the scripting chapter, then you'll need to check out some files that are on your computer. In Photoshop CS2's Scripting Guide folder, you'll see a few PDF scripting guides. One is for Photoshop, one is for JavaScript, one is for AppleScript, and one is for Visual Basic. These will provide you with hours of reading and get you up to speed on scripting and how to start writing your own. There is even a Sample Scripts folder to help you get started.

Adobe Studio Exchange

I have to say, this one should be on the top of your list if you want to work faster. There are thousands of downloads available on this websiteeverything from actions to scripts to custom presets for Photoshop. If you're looking for something, definitely make this one of your stops. Check it out at http://share.studio.adobe.com.

Turbo Boost

If you're into scripting in Photoshop or want to learn more about it, check out Adobe's forums page at www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html. You'll see there is a forum dedicated to Photoshop scripting (and forums for Illustrator and Bridge, as well).

Adobe Photoshop CS2 Killer Tips Podcast

A short and sweet daily podcast by, you guessed itme! Each weekday, I showcase some cool tip or trick in Photoshop. It only takes a minute or two to watch so you'll be back to work in no time. Check it out in the iTunes Music Store or at www.photoshopkillertips.com.

National Association of Photoshop Professionals

What can I say? I work there, so I have to mention it! Seriously, though, as a NAPP member you get a subscription to Photoshop User magazine, which has all of the top Photoshop gurus in the industry writing for it. You also get access to the NAPP members-only website. Now, if you liked this book that means you like me (I hope). If so, as a NAPP member you get access to several new tutorials each week, one of which is by yours truly. Check it out at www.photoshopuser.com.

Turbo Boost

Don't forget to check out the Samples folder in your Photoshop CS2 folder on your computer's hard drive. It contains a lot of sample images, as well as various pre-built Photoshop and ImageReady droplets ready for you to use.
