All About Users

The Edit Users icon on the Administration menu allows you to add new users or manage existing ones, assuming you know their username (or nickname). Users can, of course, add themselves through the site's registration process. Once added to the database, users are considered registered. A user may also optionally become subscribed if you provide a means to do so. Access to various site modules and blocks can be restricted to registered or subscribed users, allowing you to control which users have access to what content on your site.

Users can maintain their own profilessuch as their contact information, interests, and other datathrough the Your Account module. Part of their profile is an option to subscribe to your newsletter, which is something PHP-Nuke allows you to send (sort ofI discuss it in Topic 49, "Sending an e-Newsletter").
