About Banners

PHP-Nuke recognizes two types of banners: normal banners, which appear at the top of each page, as shown in Figure 44.1; and block banners (or ads), which appear only in the Advertising block (which you can add to your site; see Topic 37, "Selecting and Using Built-In Blocks," for details). There's no fixed size for these banners; to keep them from overwhelming your page, however, you should keep normal ads to about 468x60 pixels (which is the standard size for horizontal banner ads). Block ads do well at about 100120 pixels in width, and no more than 300 pixels high. For consistency, try to keep your normal ads all about the same size and your block ads all about the same size.
