Description

A Double representing the natural number e raised to the power d . Note that the irrational number e is approximately 2.7182818.

Rules at a Glance

  • The maximum value for d is 709.782712893.

  • Exp is the inverse of the Log function.

  • Because this function can accept numeric values only, you may want to check the value you pass using the IsNumeric function to prevent generating an error.

  • This is a Shared member, so it can be used without creating any objects.

VB.NET/VB 6 Differences

  • In VB 6, Exp was an intrinsic VB function. In VB.NET, it is a member of the Math class in the System namespace. Hence, in VB.NET, calls to Exp must be prefaced with the Math class name .
