Combining the use of scenes and Automix can really speed up your editing process. I prefer using scenes to store static data ”that is, data that does not change for the duration of the song. Scenes hold more data than Automix can alter. For that reason, I like to have a scene that represents the nominal position of all controls for the song being mixed. I prefer to limit Automix data to parameters that actually need to change during a mix. If a track does not pan, adding pan information to the Automix list only makes edits more difficult. I prefer Automixing a single element ”like level, pan, or EQ ”at a time. |
