Summary

In this chapter, you unpacked your brand new Mac. Then you connected everything together and turned it on for the first time. From here, you ran through Apple's setup assistants to get your computer set up and connected to the Internet. You also got a quick primer on the purpose behind those extra keys on the keyboard. You also learned a bit about the components of the Mac operating system, and how they add up to a machine built for high performance. Finally, in case your computer didn't come with it already in place, you learned how to install the OS X operating system.
