Introduction

Quicken provides planners for just about everything, with the exception of honey-do planners and how-to-get-a-spouse planners (those enhancements are coming in a future release, I think). But, for everything financial, Quicken has made it fairly painless to plan for most of life's financial events, including college and retirement. Quicken also has planners that can help you plan for buying a home and making special purchases, such as home remodeling, taking a dream vacation, or planning for a wedding. In addition, Quicken provides special calculators that allow you to get preliminary estimates for events such as retirement, college, or refinancing your home.

If planning is something you don't care to spend too much time on, the planners are for you. Quicken makes it easy to set up and manage plans because you have already done most of the work; all the account, investment, banking, and other financial information you have entered in Quicken is utilized by the planners. All plans are flexible, in that you can change them, remove them, and create new ones to compare. You are in full control.
