Controlling Space between Lines of Type

Use the line-height attribute to control the amount of space between lines of type. This trick is handy for improving the legibility of long passages of text, as you can see in Figure 49.3.

The line-height attribute takes a number and a unit for its value, like so:

 p {   font-size: 18px;   line-height: 27px; }
