Change Grids on the Fly

By default, the Rectangular Grid tool (nested under the Line tool in the Toolbox) creates equal spacing between the horizontal and vertical dividers. To change the spacing as you drag a grid, press X or C to move horizontal dividers left or right, and press V or F to move vertical dividers up or down. (Here we pressed C as we dragged out the grid.)
