This chapter covered quite a bit of material. It discussed the basics of object-oriented programming, the use of Java classes, Java Constructors, and scoping rules. It discussed access modifiers, the this variables, how garbage collection works, inner classes, and finally the way that Java references objects.
In the next chapter we will continue down the path of object-oriented concepts and jump into inheritance.
