Dreamweaver can automatically sort tabular data by columna neat trick that lets you tinker with how the data is organized long after you've imported it into your table. There's just one catch: tables cannot be sorted if they include a cell that spans multiple columns. We've got just such a cell in our example, but we can do a quick cut and paste to work around this restriction. (See extra bits on page 60.) Select the column-spanning cell (in our example, it's California Retailers for Tuffits) and cut it from the page ( in Windows, on the Mac). Now select the table and choose Commands > Sort Table to open the Sort Table dialog box. |
