Quicken for Windows

The Quicken Home screen appeared when you finished with the Quicken Guided Setup. It's pretty blank now (because you haven't entered any of your accounts yet), but here's what it looks like when there's a bit more information in Quicken.

Depending on the version of Quicken you're using (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, or Premier Home & Business), what you see may differ a bit from what is shown here (I'm using the Premier Home & Business version).

When you click on one of the accounts in the Account Bar, you see the register for the account. It looks much like your paper checkbook register, except that it's neater, and Quicken does all the math for you, giving you a running balance.

Let's take a closer look at one of the transactions in the check register . Each transaction line contains all of the information about that transaction.
