Update Windows XP

Microsoft regularly releases updates to Windows XP that fix problems and add security from Internet intruders. By default, Windows XP is set to update automatically at 3 am. If you don't have your computer on and connected to the Internet at the time, it won't update. However, you can update any time, as long as you're connected to the Internet.

Go to the Start menu and choose Control Panel.

Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon.
