| Something we highly recommend is to take a moment to set up backup configurations for your Version Cue projects. You can schedule backups to occur daily, weekly, or monthly for each individual project, or you can manually back up all Version Cue data at once. To perform either backup routine, you need to access the Advanced Administration area. Use the Version Cue icon in the Finder menu bar or in Windows Taskbar, choose Advanced Administration, and log in. To back up a project, follow these steps: 1. | Choose the Projects tab, enable the checkbox next to the project you want to backup, and then click the Backup button (Figure 235a).

| 2. | Click the checkbox next to the options you want to include in the backup: Project File Versions, Project Metadata, and Users/User Assignments. The Files option is always selected by default (Figure 235b).

The Whole Shebang To back up all projects in your Version Cue workspace, click the Advanced tab in the Advanced Administration area and then click Back Up Version Cue Data. In the next screen you have the opportunity to give the backup a name. After doing so, click Save to begin the backup process. |
To schedule an automatic backup: 1. | Go back to the main Projects screen by clicking the Projects tab.
| 2. | Click the name of the project in the list.
| 3. | In the Backup Configurations area at right, click New (Figure 235c).

| 4. | Choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly from the Repeat popup.
| 5. | Set your other preferred options in the Schedule area and then click the Save button in the upper left.

To delete a backup configuration, enable the checkbox next to its name and click the delete button. After you've backed up a project you'll see a project list. From this list you can restore a previous backup by clicking on it and then clicking the Restore button. |
