Answers

1.

The tool tabs contain the various Shake processes that you can add to your process tree. Each node serves a particular function, such as color correction, image filtering, or layering. These nodes are logically placed in different tool tabs according to their functions.

2.

You use the FileIn node to import images and sequences into Shake.

3.

You can use the Compare buttons in the Viewer to compare different images, or different planes of one image. When you are done comparing images, make sure you return to Normal mode so that you don't accidentally leave the Viewer looking at the B image when you are working on the A buffer image.

4.

Right-click the Flipbook icon to set the frame range and other settings for a flipbook.

5.

You use the Viewer to play and view images.

Note

Undo is disabled in the trial version of Shake that comes with this book's DVD.
