Deciding on and choosing a business structure along with writing a business plan takes a lot of time, energy, and discipline. But every minute spent on developing a clear, well-thought-out plan will come back to you in spades. A business plan isn't like the history report you did for Mr. Campbell back in high school, when you wrote the report, got a grade, and tossed it into the back of your locker. A business plan is about you and how you plan to set a course to meet success in this new venture. We'd recommend that you keep it close by and refer to it often. A good business plan is going to show you if you're starting to veer off course. That's a red flag nobody wants to miss . Savvy business people suggest that a business plan be updated once a year to help fine-tune goals and plans. The better you understand your business plan, the better you understand your business. |
