To create a table

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the table.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Table .

  3. Click the up arrow to the right of the Number of rows box until it displays the number of rows you want.

  4. Click the up arrow to the right of the Number of columns box until it displays the number of columns you want.

  5. Click OK .

To insert a Word table

  1. In PowerPoint, on the Insert menu, click Object .

  2. In the Insert Object dialog box, click Create new .

  3. In the Object type box, click Microsoft Word Document , and then click OK .

  4. Use the commands on the Table menu to create the table that you want.

  5. Click outside of the table to return to Microsoft PowerPoint.

To insert an Excel worksheet.

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the worksheet.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Object .

  3. Select the Create from file option, and then click Browse .

  4. Navigate to the folder that contains the worksheet you want to insert.

  5. In the list of file and folder names , click the file, and then click OK to close the Browse dialog box.

To create a graph

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the graph.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Chart .

  3. In the datasheet of placeholder data, click the blank cell above the East data label.

  4. On the Graph Standard toolbar, click the Import File button.

  5. Navigate to the file that contains the graph data you want to insert, and then double-click the file.

  6. Click OK to overwrite the current data in the datasheet.

To change the graph type

  • On the Graph Standard toolbar, click the down arrow to the right of the Chart Type button, and then click the chart type you want.

To insert an Excel chart

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the chart.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Object .

  3. Select the Create from file option, and then click Browse .

  4. Navigate to the folder that contains the chart you want to insert.

  5. In the list of file and folder names, click the file, and then click OK to close the Browse dialog box.

To create an organization chart

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the org chart.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Diagram .

  3. Click OK .

To add a chart box to an org chart

  1. Click the chart box to which you want to add a related chart box.

  2. On the Organization Chart toolbar, click the down arrow to the right of the Insert Shape button, and then click the type of chart box shape you want to add.

To create a diagram

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to place the diagram.

  2. On the Drawing toolbar, click the Insert Diagram or Organization Chart button.

  3. Select the diagram that you want to add, and then click OK .
