INTRODUCTION

If Outlook's default toolbars don't quite meet your needs, you can turn on additional ones. For example, you may want to display the Web toolbar so that you can access Web sites from within Outlook. You can also configure Outlook to track your menu usage and display only those commands you use most often rather than the complete list. (Don't worry; you can still view all available commands in a menu by clicking the down arrow at the bottom of the menu.) You can make these changes and more using the Customize dialog box.

Turning Toolbars On and Off

You can also turn toolbars on and off using View, Toolbars.

TIP

Customizing Menu Commands

Although you can customize the menu commands that are listed, it's not a great idea to do so because the online help and other materials, such as this book, reference the menus as originally created. If you do want to customize the commands, however, you do so using the Commands tab in the Customize dialog box.
