Summary

This chapter has taken the idea of dynamic content a different direction than what we have seen so far. XML is much more than a simple buzzword on the Internet; it is well-formed and structured data that nearly all applications on the Web can run on, including any you build in Flash.

We not only covered how to use it in Flash, but also how to create well-formed XML, a good asset to have. We even covered the XMLConnector and Tree component, the easiest way to connect and work with your XML documents.

The next few chapters build on XML as they go into Web Services and how to bring them into Flash.
