Content Ratings

Content Ratings (see Figure 16-16 again) are used to enable users to block sites from being viewed that display offensive or adult content. This feature was developed by the Recreational Software Advisory Council (RSAC) and uses the Platform for Internet Content Selection (PICS) rating system that rates content based on the level of violence, nudity, sexual content, or offensive language present on the site. Unfortunately, for this feature to work, the user must also enable and configure the Content Advisor on their Internet Explorer web browser, and there’s little guarantee that users will do this because most users use the default settings on their software almost exclusively. For more information about content ratings, see IIS Help.

You are planning on deploying a corporate network for your company using IIS 6 and have selected an individual in each department to be responsible for updating content on each department's virtual directory. How would you go about deploying this network? Would you employ FTP, WebDAV, or FrontPage for publishing content? Give reasons for your choices that relate to ease of use, administrative overhead, and security.
