Installation

In this book, I assume that you install your server on a machine with a Windows IIS Web Server with the default Development options. References will be made to these locations:

• Target Directory: C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Communication Server MX\

• Support Files Directory: C:\Inetpub\ wwwroot \flashcom\

• Applications Directory: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\flashcom\applications\

• Flash MX Directory: C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX\

• Server Port(s): 1935; Admin Port: 1111

If you are using a shared Communication Server hosting supplier, the Internet service provider (ISP) will supply most of these details.
