12.6 What Have We Learned?

Items covered in this lesson include:

  • Commands

    • MLine

    • MLStyle

    • MLEdit

This has been a fun lesson “ and not nearly as difficult as its length might indicate .

I understand that you may be a bit frustrated that the last exercise didn't go quite as fast as you might like. My instructions weren't as detailed as some earlier exercises. I'm beginning to count on you to make a necessary transition.

After practicing the additional floor plans in the preceding Extra Steps section, you probably noticed that your speed increased as your comfort with multilines increased. Eventually, multilines will prove themselves to be a timesaving tool in your arsenal.

In our next lesson, we'll add some notes to our floor plan.

Note

Many instructors rely heavily on the step-by-step approach. Others refuse to use it at all. They argue that, in the end, all the student learns is how to follow steps. So they rely on student self- reliance to accomplish the necessary tasks .

We're using a combination of the step-by-step approach and self-reliance. I lead you at first, relying more and more on what you learn as we go.
