The first thing you might notice when you move your pen near your Tablet PC screen - say within an eighth of an inch or so - is that you don't even have to touch the screen to get a cursor to appear.
That's because the screen senses the pen as it hovers nearby, enabling you to move the cursor anyplace on the screen and take an action. This feature saves you from having to drag the pen stylus around the surface any more than necessary.
Tip When you're trying to judge whether you're in a position to take an action with the pen (such as tapping), use the position of the on-screen cursor - not the pen tip - as your guide.
