Chapter 8. Miscellanea

We have arrived at the final chapter of this book. In Chapters 3, "Activity Execution," and 4, "Advanced Activity Execution," we discussed the execution model and learned how to write the execution logic for resumable programs. The focus of Chapter 5, "Applications," was on how to write applications that host the WF runtime. Chapter 6, "Transactions," focused on how transactions relate to the execution of WF programs. In Chapter 7, "Advanced Authoring," we explored the aspects related to authoring WF programs. At certain points along the way, we have made reference to other features of the WF programming model that would have been a distraction to delve into at that moment. The purpose of this chapter is to visit several important parts of the WF programming model that have not been covered in previous chapters. This exploration will round out your understanding of the capabilities provided by Windows Workflow Foundation.
