Correcting Problems with Your iTunes Music Store Account

If you sell a computer or stop using it, be sure you deauthorize it first. Even if you wipe the machine's hard drive, it still counts as an authorized computer. If you no longer have access to an authorized computer, you will need to contact iTunes Music Store Customer Service to have that machine deauthorized.

You can change information for your iTunes Music Store by accessing the Apple Account Information page and using its tools to make changes to your account, such as changing the credit card you use to purchase music. (For help using this page, refer to "Changing and Viewing Your iTunes Music Store Account" on page 369.)

If something has changed from the iTunes Music Store side of the equation, you will be prompted to change your account information. The dialog box that appears will also enable you to access your Account Information page to make the required changes.
