- Choose Start, Settings, Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, double-click Regional Options.
- On the General tab, click Set Default. The Select System Locale dialog box appears.
- Click the Select The Appropriate Locale down arrow, and choose the language you want to use.
- Click OK to close the dialog box and return to the Regional Options dialog box. Click OK again to save your settings and return to Control Panel.
Note
You can choose code page conversion tables for the languages you want to use. To do this, open the Regional Options dialog box, and click Advanced On the General tab to display the Advanced Regional Options dialog box. To install additional code page conversion tables, select the check box next to a conversion table, and then click OK. Windows will prompt you to insert your Office CD so that the appropriate files can be installed.
