RosettaNet

Microsoft BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet streamlines the development and deployment of RosettaNet standards-based supply chain integration solutions. BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet supports the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) version 1.1, which is an open network application framework that enables RosettaNet Partners to collaboratively execute RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs). Using the PIP patterns included with Accelerator for RosettaNet, users can develop any existing PIP.

BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet includes several applications that enable you to develop, administer, and test RosettaNet standards-compliant PIP implementation XLANG schedules. There are two additional applications for schema management and messaging configuration. This solution provides the application adapters and server platform necessary to build RosettaNet-based solutions that will integrate applications, connect trading partners in supply chains, and enable the orchestration of complex, collaborative business processes.

Built as an add-on to Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002, Accelerator for RosettaNet provides the necessary applications to rapidly develop BizTalk Server 2002-based solutions that are compliant with the RosettaNet Framework. These solutions enable users to automate their e-business processes, such as order management and inventory management. Accelerator for RosettaNet also uses BizTalk Server 2002 to take advantage of its platform for managing Extensible Markup Language (XML), electronic data interchange (EDI), and flat-file data processing among businesses.

In addition to a server element for handling data transfers, BizTalk Server 2002 includes a suite of tools, which provide several interfaces for creating and transforming XML files and for collaborative creation of business processes. The applications contained in BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet, combined with BizTalk Server 2002, enable users to streamline supply chain practices and to collaborate with trading partners and suppliers using the RosettaNet standard. BizTalk Server 2002 is a member of the Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers family of products.

By using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 and BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet, businesses of all sizes can integrate diverse information systems and orchestrate the flow of information within their companies and with trading partners. RosettaNet and BizTalk Accelerator for RosettaNet are complementary efforts.
