Creating a Port
A port is a named location using a specific communication technology (such as Message Queuing or BizTalk Messaging). In BizTalk Orchestration Designer, a port is defined by the location to which messages are sent or from which messages are received, and the technology that is used to implement the communication
To create a port
- In BizTalk Messaging Manager, on the File menu, point to New, and then point to Messaging Port.
- Click To an Organization to create a messaging port to a trading partner organization.
- The New Messaging Port Wizard opens.
- Type a name for the port, and then click Next.
- Browse for the Organization Name.
- Browse for the Primary Transport Address to display the Primary Transport dialog box.
- Select File as transport type.
Note For inbound IDocs, select Application Integration Component as transport type. Browse for the Component name and select SendIDocAIC SendIDoc, and then click OK.
- Type a file path address.
- Create this folder on your system drive if it does not exist. If it does, delete all the files in the folder.
- Click OK on the Primary Transport dialog box.
- Click Next.
- Select an envelope from Envelope information.
- Click Next.
- Click Create a channel for this messaging port and select From an organization.
- Click Finish to start the New Channel Wizard.
- Complete the procedures in the Create Channel section below.
