Scope

Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers cover a broad array of applications and technologies to address enterprise customer needs. In this volume, we showcase three emerging products: Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002, Microsoft Commerce Server 2002, and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. These exciting new products, along with the suite of e-business servers, form the heart of the book. The e-business servers are designed to work with the family .NET Enterprise Servers, many of which are described in the scenarios throughout the book. The second chapter, "Overview of .NET Enterprise Servers" provides a synopsis of servers that comprise the .NET Enterprise Servers family, and gives a more detailed account of the following servers:
