Traditional security tools do not provide a high enough level of protection. This, however, does not mean that you need to give up using them. As was already mentioned, traditional security tools were developed when networks were not so common, and methods of attacking these networks were not as advanced as they are today. To take adequate countermeasures for new methods of attacks, it is necessary to understand how these attacks are implemented, what makes them possible and so on. This will enable you not only to take the required steps to protect the network, but also to get a sound understanding of the tools that can detect and prevent such attacks, thus complementing the traditional security tools by extending their functional capabilities.
