How This Book Is Organized

There are four major sections to the book:

Part I, "Fundamentals," teaches the ASP.NET basics. After reading this section, you'll be able to write useful ASP.NET applications.

Part II, "Working with Data in ASP.NET," teaches you how to deal with data in ASP.NET applications. ADO.NET and XML are covered in this section.

Part III, "Advanced Items," teaches advanced topics such as state management and how to create dynamic images. These chapters give you the tools with which you can create advanced ASP.NET applications.

Part IV, "Expert Items," shows you how to perform expert tasks , such as managing your server and application from remote locations with Windows Management Instrumentation.
