Adding the Finishing Touches

With the file open in Acrobat, you can specify certain settings to make the PDF file more suitable for presentations. Choose File, Document Properties, and from the list at the top, choose Initial View. In the Window Options section, check the box marked Open in Full Screen Mode (see Figure 17.28). This causes the PDF to automatically open in Full Screen mode.

Specify Page Transitions

One of your jobs as a designer, of course, is to make your presentation as engaging as possible. You've already added some graphics; another way to add a little spice to the presentation is to add page transitions. Rather than simply moving from one page to the next, a page transition animates the movement of one page to another.

To set page transitions, choose Document, Set Page Transitions (see Figure 17.29). You can choose from a laundry list of different transitions (there's also a Randomize setting, which picks different transitions for you as the presentation is viewed). If you'd like, you can even have the pages turn by themselves (useful for a kiosklike presentation that won't be given by an individual). When you're done, click OK.

Save Secure PDF

Finally, you're going to password-protect the file so that others can't change the content of the presentation. Choose Document, Security, Secure This Document to select a security policy (see Figure 17.30) and apply it.

Save your PDF file, and you're done!
