OneNote Shortcuts


This appendix lists a variety of keyboard shortcuts for working within OneNote. There are shortcuts for editing content, moving around in pages, and opening and closing OneNote files.

Some of these shortcuts include symbols that are available on the numeric keypad. However, the shortcuts won't work if you're using the symbols on the numeric keypad. Use the symbols elsewhere on the keyboard. In other words, to use the + symbol in a shortcut, use the one on the same key as the = symbol, not the one on the numeric keypad.


Shortcuts for Entering and Changing Content

Table A.1 lists the various shortcuts you can use to enter and edit the content within your OneNote pages. Many of these shortcuts operate the same within any Microsoft Office 2003 System program.

Text Formatting Shortcuts

Within any Office application, there are a handful of shortcuts that allow you to format your selected text quickly. Those shortcuts are listed in Table A.2.
