A new panel in Flash MX is named Flash UI Components. These components are similar to what used to be called Smart Clips, but they've undergone some changes. You can edit the components and even change their appearance. They have skins that are components of the component. You can also make your own components or get more from the Flash Exchange. To use the components, drag them to the Stage. Check the Property inspector. This is where you can add your specific parameters and change the properties. To begin using components for the first time, choose Help ® Tutorials, and select Introduction to Components.
