You can fix photos in Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 at almost any time. When you are importing them, for instance, you have the chance to make a few essential changes. You can also use the pocket editor while you are placing your photos into such projects as calendars and gift cards.

But if you really want to make more than just basic changes to your pictures, you want to use PhotoSuite. PhotoSuite is Easy Media Creator's full-fledged photo-editing application. Besides the more conventional edits such as color correction, it allows you to add special effects to your photos using advanced tools such as masks.

You can also edit multiple photos at once, not only auto fixing them as a batch, but also renaming them and converting them to different file formatsa particularly useful tool in archiving photos to a convenient location on your computer.

These tasks assume that you have already imported your photo files onto your computer and are ready to edit. If you need to import your photos, see Chapter 5, "Importing Photos."

Note

Many of the tasks within PhotoSuite take effect when you close the window for the task. That means you very rarely see an Ok, Close, or Apply button in the task windows.
