In HTML , you can color your text as you would in a word processor to make a section of text stand out or follow a style guide. In HTML , you can also change the background for a line or paragraph like you would use a highlighter on paper.

1.
Highlight the First Line of Text

Highlight text to tell Composer what you want to apply the color to, much like in a word processor.

2.
Click on the Text Color Icon

The Text Color dialog box appears. Select a color that is going to stand out from the background and click OK. The text will change to the color you selected.

3.
Highlight the First Line of Your Text Again

This time you are going to set the background for the part of the text you have selected. This will not affect the color of the text itself, but will set the background color.

4.
Click on the Highlight Color for Text Button

The Highlight Color dialog box appears. Select a color that is going to stand out from the background and click OK .

The text block, which runs from the beginning of the heading to the edge of the browser, is now the color you chose. Using highlights can be a great way to separate sections of a document.
