The PHP Server Model in Dreamweaver is specifically designed to allow connections to MySQL and to provide a set of built-in functions in the form of the server behaviors described in earlier chapters. The PHP objects that are included in Dreamweaver are very specific and are most useful to hand-coders who are familiar with PHP already. If you are learning PHP, Dreamweaver is a great environment to do that. You can use the built-in server behaviors for many features, and you can hand-code with the help of the objects, but remember that a lot more power is open to you if you hand-code your PHP in Dreamweaver.
