The etcoptnovellgroupwisegwha.conf File

The /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/gwha.conf File

The grpwise script consumes the contents of the /etc/opt/novell/groupwise/gwha.conf file. The gwha.conf file is used by the grpwise script to start a particular GroupWise Agent, and to tell this agent which startup file to use for the particular instance of the GroupWise Agent. Here is a sample gwha.conf file:

[gwha] ssl = no key = cert = password = [MARKET] server = /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin/gwmta command = /etc/init.d/grpwise startup = market.mta delay = 2 wait = 10 [GWIA.MARKET] server = /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin/gwia command = /etc/init.d/grpwise startup = gwia.cfg delay = 2 wait = 10

The gwha.conf file gets created when you run the "Configure" portion of the install of the GroupWise Agents or GWIA software. However, there is a very important step you need to keep in mind. The gwha.conf file is not actually fully functional until you have successfully started the GroupWise Agent one time. The next section, "Initializing GroupWise Agents," talks about how you do this, so be sure to read that section. The gwha.conf file is part of the GroupWise high-availability system that functions only on the Linux platform, and integrates with Novell GroupWise Monitor. At the time this book was being written, the high-availability pieces were still being worked on, so we cannot tell you just how to configure this feature. It sounds as though it will be a great feature, so see the online GroupWise documentation at http://www.novell.com/documentation.
