Summary

The ListView control and its associated designer, the ListViewDesigner class that we implemented in this chapter, represent the reference implementation of a data-bound templated control and control designer. The implementation provided in this example is based on the same techniques and patterns used in the implementation of the standard ASP.NET data-bound templated controls, such as the DataList control.
