Part II: Building Applications

Part II In Part Two, you'll learn how to architect and model three-tier business solutions using COM and Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). We'll examine tools, techniques, and thought processes for modeling data, business objects, and various types of clients. We'll also look at practical issues that must be considered during design, such as security considerations and performance requirements. Next we'll look at how to implement the three-tier application, focusing on how to build business and data objects, but with a brief glimpse at writing clients for the Internet and intranets. And last we'll look at how to debug applications using the Visual Basic and Visual Studio debuggers, how to check our application against performance requirements, and how to deploy the application.
