I'm sure there's an important reason for this feature; I just can't figure out what it is. But it sure looks cool, and therefore it's a perfect tool for showing off to your PC friends (which may be the real reason it's in the Mac OS in the first place). Here's how it workslook inside your Applications folder, inside your Utilities folder, and double-click on ColorSync Utility. When the ColorSync panel appears, click on the Profiles icon, then click the gray triangle beside System to display a list of profiles. Click on Generic RGB Profile and to the right a Lab Plot color graphic will appear. Here's the show-off partit's a 3D objectclick your cursor right on it, drag upward, and the object will rotate around in 3D. Totally cool. Totally useless. I love it! |
